August 10th 2011

       We sit in our group for the presentation today. Then we discussed a little bit about the presentation and decided who will do on the different genres. After that, we finished the assessment on singing western music. For the homework, I will do the presentation.
        For instrument class, I played c to b diminished 7 and half diminished. I did not play it fluently, I need much more practice at home.

Singing Practice

This is my practice video of me singing a western pop song 'she will be loved' by Maroon 5. This practice video is to prepare for an individual singing western song assessment. I think I did pretty good during my practice. I have to improve my confidence when perform in front of audience.

August 9th 2011

   Today, we are divided into groups for the group presentation. Then, I did my singing individually assessment. I was so nervous but I did sing the whole song pretty well. I have to be more confident next time I have to make an outline for the presentation on western music.
   I played c to b major 7th, minor 7th and dominant 7. Then I learned how to play half diminished and diminished 7. I will practice to play it at home.

August 3rd 2011

        Today was the assessment day, only some of my classmates performed because we did not have enough time. I will practice again to perform it next week. For instrument class, I played c to e major scale with their contrary motions. I also tried to play c major 7th, c dominant 7 and c minor 7th. I did not play them really fluently. I should try and practice it at home.

August 2nd 2011

         Today, we had a little reviews on our last topic which was major scales of 1 sharp to 4 sharps and 1 flat to 4 flats. Then, Mr.Herry distributed two handouts about seventh chords. I also gave the title of my song that i'm going to sing for the assessment. After that, we discussed criterias which are assessed during the assessment. I have done pretty good today, I could answer some question. I will practice to sing at home for the assessment tomorrow. For thery discussion, we discussed triad, major 7th, dominant 7 and minor 7th. In instrument class, I played c major 2 octaves and its ontrary motion.

July 26th 2011

         First thing that I did today is singing binusian song. Then, Mr.Herry distributed our quiz yesterday and discussed it. We discussed about major scales. I got perfect score for the quiz because I did it all correctly. I think it was easy because I have learned it before. Next week, I have to give a title of the song that I am going to sing for the assessment. For instument class, I played C to B major scales with its tonic triad. I need to cut my fingernails because it affects my performance.

July 26th 2011

   Today was my first music class for year 10. The new students introduced theirselves. Then, I got the music unit planner and discussed about it. I got homework to do to prepare a western song for individual singing assessment next week. I did a pop quiz about notation and i think it was easy. I will do my task at home.
