broken chords #1

This is me trying to play a melody with accompaniment. I tried to play the accompaniment by playing the broken chords of I VI IV II V I. I like how it sounds, it is really good.

October 5th 2011

Today, I received a new worksheet on major scale. We learned about enharmonic notes and practiced it. Mr.Herry checked the homework on the composition of 16 bars that we made. Then, I learned how to compose in the form of AA'BA'. In instrument class, we learned how to play the melody with accompaniment. I tried to play the accompaniment by playing the broken chords. I played it, I think it sounds really good. I will practice more by making a video of it.

October 4th 2011

Today, the woodwind students perform to do their assessment on classical song. Then, we learned how to compose a melody. We combine some of our compositions to be 16 bars and play it. It actually pretty good. I should continue compose my melody until 8 bars. For instrument class, I continued composing my melody into 8 bars.

September 28th 2011

Today was the assessment for the solo classical performance. I did really well even though I was nervous. I did not make any mistakes, I played the dynamic and expression in a good posture and I am happy about it. Mr.Herry gave me good comment, I hope I can get a really good some as I expected. Next time, I should be more confident to be less nervous.

Today, I am hoping that I will be able to play my classical song (assessment rehearsal) very well. Today, all of the students did the rehearsal for the assessment tomorrow. I made a lot of mistakes, I will practice and make sure I will play very well for the assessment tomorrow.

September 21st 2011

       I submit my music booklet after school because I have not put the bibliography on my booklet. I also submit my music sheet to Mr. Herry. After that each representative of each instrument performed their song for preparation for the practical assessment 2 weeks from today. I thought some of them performed well. I practiced my classical song during  the instrument class. We were given time to practice by ourselves. Then, we played in front of Mr.Herry to see our improvement. I had improvement on my tempo. I will improve to the next step to put my emotions to the song by plating it more often.

September 20th 2011

              We had review about the written notation (major 7th, dominant 7 and the inversions). Some of us answered the questions on the white boatd. My booklet is not complete yet so I have to complete it and submit it tomorrow. Then each representative from each instrument performed their classical song to prepare for the assessment later. I thought their performances were really great.
               I had practice to play my song for preparation for the assessment next week. I played it well but I need to fix the tempo. Mr.Herry thought it would be nicer to play it slower because it is a romantic piece. I will practice it again.
